Delete your account

How to delete your TheGalleryCreatives account, and what happens to your data.

In the app

• Log in to the TheGalleryCreatives app and open your profile (the last button at the bottom of the screen).
• Tap the menu button at the top right, then "Account", then "Delete Account".
• Type your username to confirm, tap "Delete my account", then "Delete".

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. For your security, if you last logged in more than an hour ago, the app asks you to log out and log in again first.

Without the app

Email chris@thegallerycreatives.com from the email address on your account, with your username, and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm and delete it within one month.

What is deleted

Your account, username, profile, profile picture, posts with their photos and videos, likes, favourites, notifications, your location, your Instagram connection and your identity verification result. Your chats are deleted too, including the other person's messages in them.

What is kept

Reports made about your posts or profile are kept, with your username and the reported content as it was then, to keep the platform safe. Reports you made about others are kept without your name. If we delete your account for you, we keep a record that we did, with your username. Records of rewards paid are kept without your details, to meet legal obligations. Usage statistics and crash reports carry only an account ID, never your name or email address, and are not deleted. Copies in our backups are kept for a limited time. Stripe keeps its own identity verification records under its privacy policy.

Deleting some of your data

You can delete your posts and profile picture in the app without deleting your account. You can also remove a chat from your list; the other person keeps their copy. To ask for other data to be deleted, email chris@thegallerycreatives.com.
